Our Passion and Vision –

It is our passion to offer a magical, joyful, creative space.  We offer fantastic acoustics and gear for artists of all genres to come and record.
It is our mission, as fellow artists, to be a guide and support for each artist to bring to life their artistic vision.
At Tune Drive Sound we offer our many years’ experience  in analog and digital sound recording.  Our expertise in guitar, piano, songwriting, performing/teaching/coaching will help you realize you this vision.

Our Story –

David and Jeanie, lifelong musicians, met as singer/songwriters at a retreat in Blue Ridge Mountains of Charlottesville, Va.
At that time David was living in Chama, NM where he recorded many wonderful artists at Spyderman Studios, .
Jeanie was living in NYC and performing as a classical pianist/ singer songwriter/master piano teacher. Jeanie and David fell in love and became life partners and toured the US as a performing singer/songwriter duo.
After years of living bilocally, in NYC and Chama, NM and touring, they moved to Taos, NM.   There, they bought and remodeled an adobe house for living and recording, and Tune Drive Sound was born!

David Hammond is a rockin’ guitarist /multi-instrumentalist and a veteran songwriter originally from New River, AZ and Austin TX, who has has performed with the A-list of Texas songwriters including Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Butch Hancock, Joe Ely, Jimmie LaFave, David Halley, Rosie Flores, Fur Dixon, Kevin Welch and many others. As a songwriter David has contributed to several Jimmie Dale Gilmore albums (two of which received Grammy nominations), as well as many artists in all genres from Texas, New York, Tennessee, Virginia and points between.

Jeanie-

Jeanie Putnam is a talented singer songwriter and accomplished classical pianist. She has a degree in piano performance from SUNY Purchase, with a piano teaching lineage descending from G. Diez, C. Arrau, F. Liszt and L.Beethoven. She is a master piano teacher, and has many years’ experience in acting and is the owner of Almond Tree Music. Inc. a teaching studio It’s mission is to provide expert training in piano and to cultivate each student’s unique musical voice while providing a solid musical foundation.
She has toured for many years with David Hammond as a singer./songwriter/keyboardist and cowritten songs with David Hammond and Jimmie Dale Gilmore.
